Key Account Manager

Key Account Manager directs all aspects of the dsm-firmenich relationship with specified Key Accounts. The position requires that you assist Key Customers in maintaining and growing their business and provide Nutrition and Health solutions that can improve their productivity. We expect you to work with the customer to build a trusted partnership and create win-win scenarios with Essential Vitamins, Premixes, Performance Solutions and Precision Services. Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop personal relationships with key decision makers within the key account
- Build Customer Account Plans and execute regular activities to partner and grow mutual business. Participate in regular reporting to leadership within dsm-firmenich
- Successfully negotiate terms of agreements for supply, innovations and nutritional partnership.
- Work with dsm-firmenich Sales, Technical Support, Marketing and Customer Excellence teams to create a well-rounded customer approach, providing industry leading knowledge and consultation to the customer
- Implement major tools such as the Customer Portal, Pricing tools, CRM planning tools, Forecasting and other planning tools
- Measure performance (Sales, market share, scorecards) and initiate actions where needed to drive the business forward
This position is a US Home-based role. The position is ideally located in the eastern or central time zones of the United States. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided. Salary $108,600-$165,000.

You bring
- Minimum 7 years of sales, product management, and/or marketing experience in animal nutrition or agriculture required; experience in nutritional feed ingredients and/or livestock production preferred
- Experience managing key accounts highly desirable along with excellent relationship building and establishing partnerships with customers
- Good knowledge and understanding of the global market for Animal nutritional ingredients
- Experience with direct to farm sales, ingredient sales and managing distributors
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication and relationship skills are additional requirements for the function
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
