The Sales Development Representative will uncover opportunities for Clarivate and nurture prospects until they are ready to begin the purchasing process. This is a revenue generated position through outbound and inbound communication, connecting with identified prospective customers, as well as managing and responding to inbound inquiries. You'll leverage research and tools to connect with prospects daily via phone, email, social media, and various channels. Through conversations with prospects, you'll develop interest and agreement from prospects on the next steps in their evaluation of our solutions, such as scheduling demos or discovery calls with Sales. In addition, you will maintain contact with and a relationship with prospects who are more than two years away from a selection.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of sales experience
- 2 years of successful sales experience into public libraries

What will you be doing in this role?...
- Outbound Activities: Facilitate targeted prospecting and Outreach activities to connect with prospective customers in a personalized 1:1 approach to library leaders, decision-makers, and key players in public libraries
- Inbound Activities: Respond to and qualify inbound inquiries (Calls, Web-Leads, Emails, Social) to assess interest-level and potential solution needs, prior to progressing prospects and customers forward towards actionable next steps with the appropriate account resource in Sales. This will require a knowledge of our products, and the markets we serve.
- Learn continuously and develop into a sales development and customer expert; become a trusted advisor to prospects and customers by seeking to authentically understand their goals and guide them to the appropriate next steps in fulfilling their needs with Clarivate.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams; understanding and anticipating the needs of customers to consistently meet and exceed sales pipeline goals.
- Work with product marketing for outbound campaigns, targeted directly at specific prospect and customers.
- Extensive daily use of advanced sales technology and platforms (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sales and marketing tools) to ensure accurate data management practices that provide verifiable performance measurements and trusted customer insights.
- Demonstrate a professional, customer-centric approach during all interactions and initiatives.
- Meet and exceed performance metrics for activities and Sales Qualified Leads that drive active opportunities for sales to pursue and win.

- Full time, permanent
- Although duties are typically performed during normal business hours, occasional off-hours may be required
