Salary - $62,400 plus quarterly bonus potential. City Cruises is seeking a Sales Associate for our operation in New York. About You: This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.
About the Opportunity: The successful sales associate will provide a variety of support and to assist in various sales functions ensuring continuous customer satisfaction and maximizing sales. The successful sales associate will personally contribute to the unforgettable guest experience, be favorably viewed by supervisors and peers, and be swift and efficient in the execution of their assigned duties. Performance will be measured by sales quotas, departmental tests, management evaluation, and feedback from peers on the city's team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Documents customer interaction in ANCHOR, the Company's sales data base.
- Books cruises and make changes to previously booked cruises using ANCHOR, the Company's reservation system.
- Maintains good organizational skills through time management, setting priorities, and accurate paperwork.
- Processes complimentary ticket requests.
- Inputs prospects and Business Replay Card (BRC) data into ANCHOR.
- Prints contracts, letters, etc. and files department data.
- Prints weekly reports.
- Collects payments and keeps abreast of accounts receivables.
- Distributes in-bound group calls.
- Performs pre cruise calls to confirm final numbers and details.
- Solicits input and works with Director of Sales and other appropriate sales team members to finalize product offer details.
- Handles customer maintenance activities for sales team members. May include tasks such as:
- Changes to original contract, including counts, upsells, and other special needs.
- Ensures complete and accurate product details are communicated to the F&B and Operations Departments to ensure proper execution of the product promised.
- Ensures communication is done in a timely, efficient manner.
- Meets and boards large groups when they arrive for their cruises. On occasion, may be required ride the cruise with the larger groups, especially full deck, and full ship charters, to help ensure outstanding product delivery.
- Provides prompt responses to customer inquiries.
- Develops comprehensive knowledge of product offerings, product extras, pricing, and scripting for all standard products.
- Follows through on all sales related actions such as payments, contracts, etc.
- Up-sells to customer who already have cruises booked.
- Prepares sales proposals for sales team members.
- Coordinates all components of a cruise including tickets, bar packages, photo packages, and other special event orders.
- Telemarkets in the off-season to qualify prospects.
- Assists sales team members in moving tentative.
- Research specific areas assigned to provide information to the sales team members.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous related work experience required
- Associate's degree preferred
- Communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Maintain high level of organization
- Be detail oriented
- Handle multiple tasks/projects at one time
- Focus on customer needs
- Meet deadlines
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by job responsibility
