Red Hat has an exciting opportunity for a sales representative to augment our coverage of strategic accounts in the Ottawa area. Thanks to the significant contribution of the open sources community, our innovative solutions are focused on the following: OpenShift, leading PAAS platform to leverage the container/Kubernetes model to accelerate the development and deployment of applications; an integration suite notably covering API management, Kafka-based messaging; and a robust offering to automate IT and business processes; and on Red Hat Enterprise Linux to secure and scale workloads whether on premise or in the cloud, including SAP Hana. Successful applicants must reside in the Ottawa-Gatineau area.
What You Will Do
- Create and implement account plans to ensure that short and long-term revenue goals are met
- Develop and close sustainable booking across technologies
- Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals
- Understand customer business challenges and demonstrate how to solve them using Red Hat’s solutions and services
- Find new opportunities within your assigned territory
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years of sales experience; experience in the software or IT industry calling on public sector clients in Ottawa with a demonstrated record of success is a plus
- Knowledge and experience in the Canadian Federal market
- Thorough understanding of complete sales cycle management from prospect to close
- Excellent communication skills; language skills in English and French are a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferably in business, marketing, or other technical discipline
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic team while demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and ability to work without direct supervision
- Familiarity with middleware and Linux-related solutions sales cycles is a plus
