About Us:
Are you a multitasker, passionate about eCommerce, and ready to make a meaningful impact in a tech startup? Are you curious, do you love to learn, and communicate well with customers?
This position will be with High Alpha's latest company, Humankind. We've made an impact on the market quickly, developing what we consider the 3rd dimension of retailing. The 1st dimension was physical stores, the 2nd dimension was ecommerce, and now we've finally arrived at e-commerce's 3rd-dimension. We call this "H-Commerce" (H is for "human"). We enable brands to offer 1:1 expert-led virtual shopping via sms, profitably and at scale.
We are a team of collaborators that are passionate about providing the very best that we can to our customers. We are deep thinkers, strategic problem solvers, and inquisitive learners. No matter where we come from, we collaboratively and seamlessly provide amazing service to our customers. We are looking for our next addition to the team, and it could very well be you!
About this role:
Humankind is looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative to be the first point of contact and interaction with prospects. You will be engaging with some of your favorite eCommerce leaders (at brands like TaylorMade, Saucony, Olaplex). You'll be reaching out to help educate, and spread the word about our solution. You'll engage through traditional outreach and prospecting methods (email and phone strategies, using the sales tools like Hubspot, Zoom Information, and LinkedIn). The goal is to schedule initial meetings that turn into qualified business opportunities.
Beyond this, this team member will have an integral role in target account selection, systems and data hygiene, tradeshow and conference preparations, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs.
What You'll Do:
This is a unique opportunity in which you would be responsible for:
- Prospecting: Responsible for owning prospecting activities (fielding inbound inquiries and performing outbound outreach) and for scheduling initial meetings / demos. You'll identify qualified prospects, contact them (via email, phone, and/or social media), and manage activities in our CRM (currently HubSpot).
- Sales Support: You will work with the SVP of Sales in the demo-to-close and post-sales processes. This includes the qualification process, demos, learning how to position and promote our platform's offerings, and helping sales with the demo-to-close process.
- Marketing Support: You will also work with marketing to perform market research in order to identify target prospects. In addition, you will help execute lead-generation campaigns and follow up on leads generated from those campaigns.
- Process Improvement: We need leaders in every role, and we'll need your help in improving the SDR process and role. You will help us identify new trends and opportunities for the SDR function to be highly effective and an integral part of the marketing and sales organization.
- Achievement and Accountability: You will help set and measure weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity targets and goals.
What You'll Need:
- To be a self starter - someone who focuses on results and finds a way to get to the desired result in the best possible way
- Interest in growing a career in the eCommerce or MarTech SaaS space.
- Naturally curious to learn more about our technology and our prospects.
- A knack for getting to the "right people" and creating relationships with decision-makers.
- Self-motivation: You're the kind of person who sees an opportunity and tackles it head on!
- You love people, default to helping when you see an unmet need, and you have awesome communication skills.
- Positive energy and outlook.
- Resilience: Sales prospecting is challenging work, and you won't win over every prospect. You need to have a resilient attitude and a willingness to treat every email, call, and day as a new opportunity to make a connection with someone our team can help.
Compensation: While compensation varies based on experience, professionals should expect a salary between $50,000 with an expected variable of $20,000.
Our Values:
Lead from the seat you're in. We are excited and proactive about the product, community, and team we're building. We know that we need to always be ahead of where consumer's preference is. This requires us to think, act and be one step ahead. It requires us to be proactive and take ownership. When we own a project, we are reliable, lead and drive to conclusion because if we don't do it no one will. Our ambition to create the best experiences and products drives us to individually roll up our sleeves.
Pause and Challenge. We value one another's opinions. We've all come from different backgrounds and professional experiences, and want those experiences voiced and captured. We at times may pause our work or our conversations to challenge one another on how we are tackling a problem or solving a situation. When we challenge one another, we unequivocally agree to be respectful of one another and at the end of the day, everyone understands you get paid for your opinions.
Be For Each Other. We respect one another and are a better team, because we're together. We empower and support one another to take charge and act on our ideas. We promise to build each other up, and show support when the tough gets going. We believe that because we're team players, we create a space where we can fail fast and succeed even faster. We're the team that rallies together
