We are looking for Software Sales Development Rep to help us accelerate to the next level.
Position Summary
The Software Sales Development Representative (SDR) will partner with full-cycle sales professionals at StartupWind to drive net new business. SDRs get comprehensive sales training and would work closely with our seasoned sales leader with the goal of developing into quota-carrying sales professionals in 12-18 months.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Engage in outbound email, call, and LinkedIn activity with the purpose of setting up meetings with the sales representative and sales leadership team.
- Execute an initial discovery call to share the Company Value Proposition, ask standardized questions, and secure either a 30-minute meeting or a 60-minute demo meeting to be led by the sales representative and sales leadership team.
- Follow up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
- Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales teams
- Follow the lead activation process, helping source and build company/contact profiles in the CRM, and maintain data integrity standards in the CRM and other technology solutions identified
- Make calls, emails, and LinkedIn messages to prospects generated by a variety of sources
- Nurture new leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to engage
- Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars, set meetings for conferences as applicable
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
- Use lead scoring and other data-driven metrics to prioritize outreach efforts
- Ensure successful follow-through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application.
Requirements
· Track record in setting up meetings with prospects (for a SaaS solution) consistently on a weekly basis and at a significant volume
· Tenacious hunger in opening up new accounts via phone calls, emails, social media, and referrals.
· Ability to hustle, take initiative and make things happen
· Ability to confidently and effectively speak to the prospect and articulate the value proposition to engage them in setting up a meeting
· Experience with University, State & Local Government clients is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
· 4-year degree
· Proven success in penetrating new markets
· Proven ability to prospect and set up meetings
· Exceptional discipline in consistently calling, emailing, and messaging prospects at a high volume
· Over-achievement in past positions
