The Sales Engineer at Zipari is responsible for providing pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients and existing customers. This person will provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/applications to the client’s business. This person will articulate Zipari’s product strengths relative to its competitors during demonstrations, presentations, and in written form for Requests for Information (RFIs) or Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
The Sales Engineer will effectively support the Sales Director and Client Relations teams in the sales planning and business development activities as part of the sales cycle execution process. They will provide exemplary pre-sales technical expertise and will build a working knowledge of contending products and how to technically sell against them.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Provide exemplary pre-sales technical expertise through technical and product presentations, demonstrations, completing RFIs and RFPs, pilot implementations, and ongoing sales consultation
- Translate product/technical features into value drivers
- Develop and maintain lunch-and-learn training materials and deliver training to improve product knowledge and demo abilities for both themselves and the sales teams they support
- Build working knowledge of contending products and how to technically sell against them
- Ability to work with a variety of team members across several departments and teams
- Orchestrate the RFI and RFP response process to ensure answers are collected on time, in the correct context, and accurately addressing the questions and to ensure the RFI/RFP is submitted following the guidelines defined by the customer
- Become an expert in Zipari products
- Meet with clients to identify, gather, and document requirements
- Design and deliver standard and customer-specific training classes
- Review customer business requirements and assist in defining Zipari solution scope that aligns

- Ability to build strong client and peer relationships while working in a team environment
- Structured and strong organizational skills in a consulting environment
- Understanding of best practice systems implementation methodologies
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience in similar role
- Basic business knowledge as it helps in identifying the client’s business needs more quickly and solutions can then be provided more timely after that
- Proven success in a direct selling role
- Excellent customer service skills and experience are highly preferred
- Must have the ability to work flawlessly under tight deadlines and achieve the set targets
- Proficiency in MS Office with a basic knowledge of working of CRM and RFP management platforms
- Experienced in application architecture design, including developing solutions, and business rules, knowledge of ETL processes
- Proven ability to communicate and evaluate design options with client teams
