First, a bit about us. STRV is a software design and engineering team that delivers next-level products. Here since 2004, we’ve delivered solutions for partners ranging from startups to enterprises, including Barry’s, Microsoft, MedMen, Barnes & Noble, The Athletic, Autodesk and more.
We focus on mobile applications, websites, backend infrastructure, IoT, blockchain and data science/machine learning/AI. How You Fit In
We need a solution-oriented sales pro skilled in generating leads and attaining a quarterly quota against a new book of business. You’ll be joining our Sales team regionally located in the US and Prague while working closely with dozens of passionate individuals on our Design, Engineering, Product and Marketing teams.
In short: We’re looking for someone we can trust to help STRV grow, and that’s where you come in.
At STRV, you have full autonomy in how you generate new business, leveraging and expanding your own network while taking on inbound leads from our Marketing team, as well as referrals from within our network. You also have our extensive contact database to use for your outbound activities.
Alongside our Product Architect, you craft engagement strategies and approaches, estimating timelines and budgets, assembling client proposals and, ultimately, give our team a chance to deliver great results for our clients — which is the core of what STRV does, and it all starts with you.
Once a deal is closed, you transition the client to the dedicated Account Manager, who manages the relationship with a Product Manager. From there on, they become the main point of contact, and you’re on to the next one. But of course, you maintain every sales relationship for potential upscales and extensions.
At STRV, Your Role Will Be To:
- Identify, uncover and develop your own opportunities
- Work with Marketing on acquiring selected companies as a part of the Account-Based Marketing strategy (ABM)
- Close new business opportunities that support STRV’s service offerings
- Work with the Product Architect to strategize on the client solution and develop estimates, approaches and proposals to move opportunities through the sales cycle
- Negotiate contracts and Statement of Work terms
- Take responsibility for a set amount in annual billings and the number of new closed deals for a full year, with a qualified pipeline of opportunities equal to 3x the annual billings
- Maintain/update your pipeline in the CRM to allow for accurate revenue planning and tracking
- Stay active within the startup and tech community — conferences, events, digital, etc.
- Proactively report on learnings and valuable feedback to the Sales and Marketing teams
- Hit sales metrics of success and provide a timely, accurate forecast and clear visibility into revenue performance
- Be the face of the company while doing it justice
We Expect You to Have:
- 2+ years of outbound sales experience
- 5+ years of experience in closing new logos as a top performer (tech consulting or digital agency)
- Experience in selling to startups, founders and executives
- A track record of achieving or exceeding sales quota
- A self-motivated mindset that drives you to succeed; you love winning and helping your customers
- Natural curiosity and a history of learning new things quickly
- Great organizational skills and the ability to handle several responsibilities at once with little oversight
- Experience with tracking all of your sales activity and reports in CRM
- An entrepreneurial spirit that makes you a reliable self-starter
- A passion for digital products and building software; you’re up to speed with tech driving the future
- A strong focus on solving problems and driving new client business
- Great communication skills; you easily connect and build relationships
- Web3 experience (not required but highly desirable)
