About The Role
Reporting directly to the VP Sales, North American Service Provider Sales, the Sales Director’s primary responsibility is for the management and expansion of MediaKind’s business within North American. You will be responsible for developing and securing the short and long-term profitable Media business for the North American Service Provider Market through proactive business development based on fundamental understanding of the customers’ business, operations and objectives. Working in close collaboration with the respective key account organizations you will be accountable for actively mobilizing internal resources to deliver efficient and effective end to end solutions allowing seamless transition from sales to operations. You will act as the prime liaison towards Product Management and Engineering driving areas such as product requirements and roadmaps, resource mobilization and strategy alignment for the Media business.
What You'll Do
- Primary responsibility to develop and secure the short and long-term profitable media business, in areas such as TV Platforms, Media processing, Content delivery, and Professional Services (Engineering, Installation, Test, and Turn-up). You will be the owner of media related revenues for your accounts
- In close collaboration with your team, you will lead and/or support the orchestration of engagements with the customer, leading the appropriate team of subject matter experts that will cultivate the overall solution from opportunity identification through to contract closure.
- You will develop the Media strategy for Accounts, including development and execution of a growth plan for media.
- You will also plan your efforts towards quarterly and annual revenue, orders and profitability targets and forecasts as well as customer satisfaction indices
- Develop and maintain sales pipeline sufficient to meet revenue objectives.
- Work with your team to manage all aspects of the sales cycle including qualification of opportunities, development of a sales strategy, and coordination of all resources, final negotiation and closing of business.
- Manage towards quarterly and annual revenue, orders and profitability targets as well as customer satisfaction indices.
- Provide timely and accurate management reports including forecasts of revenue and orders, and prospective opportunities
- You will build and maintain relationships on multiple levels with key decision makers in the customer organizations
- Meet with decision-makers and conduct sales presentations to develop rapport and recommend solutions.
- You will act as the primary interface towards Product Management and Engineering, tasked with driving overall strategy alignment, provide input to the Media portfolio strategy and product requirements and secure the needed resource mobilization.
- You will quote hardware, software and related services in accordance with MediaKind Business practices for the entire Media product portfolio.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s or engineering degree or equivalent, Masters/MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 - 10 years of media domain experience and proven track record of successful selling and supporting complex Media solutions to telco or cable customers
- Excellent industry and customer knowledge and strong own reliable customer contact network
- Outstanding ability to identify customer pain points in area of media and the ability to translate such insights into tangible opportunities and development of relevant pursuit plans
- Strong track record from sales leadership roles
- Excellent leadership capabilities and strong team player
- Strong knowledge of overall MediaKind portfolio
- Experience in selling Cloud based services
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Strong technical and analytical skills in the media domain
- Ability to travel
- Fluent in English
