Position will be based out of our South Texas location (Pleasanton, TX). Experience in Restraints, Containments and Completions activities is a must! Standard Safety & Supply is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to build market position for Standard Safety's products and services by locating, developing, defining and closing business relationships.

Requirements:

Essential Functions:

Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
Generating sales revenue to meet and exceed assigned sales projections.
Reporting weekly summaries and planning to sales management.
Preparing and delivering approved estimates for customers.
Working in conjunction with operations personnel to ensure our customers receive the best possible service.
Ensuring paperwork and customer documentation are accurate.
Evaluating market requirements and competitor capabilities.
Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
Assisting in collection of all delinquent accounts.
Attending functions when necessary to keep in contact with customers and market Standard Safety & Supply Products and Services.
Performing other work-related tasks as assigned.
Complying with all Standard Safety & Supply permits, policies and procedures

Competencies/Qualifications:

Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently.
Time management and future scheduling planning skills.
Ability to multi-task and be flexible with changes to a schedule.
Able to communicate professionally and with confidence.
Familiar with DOT regulations.
Standard office equipment: copier, scanner, fax and phone system.
Computer literate with ease in learning new software as needed with training.
Competency in Adobe form-fillable documents as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and typical office equipment.
1 to 3 years outside sales experience, preferably restraints, containments and completions activities.
Safety awareness and proper use of all personal protection equipment.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated to grow area’s revenue and committed to service quality.
Travel in your geographic region and to events. Some overnight travel may be requested.
Will work in the field and on customer’s premises which are not climate controlled and may be subject to outside weather conditions that include moving around machinery and materials.
Clean background check and acceptable driving record.
