SUMMARY

Ensures Carlisle IT is professionally represented within the assigned Strategic Account (s) and within the industry, and that our organization meets the expected level of service, responsiveness and quality objectives of the customer. Develops leads and implements key account plan and strategy linking Carlisle IT to the account at the business and people level. The Strategic Account Manager has a strong presence at both the account and internally and is able to lead an indirect team to grow the account. They can manage both tactical activities as well as the overall strategy. Grows the opportunity funnel for Carlisle with the account and develops actions to successfully close those opportunities resulting in new business. The Strategic Account Manager is also tasked with managing the business relationships with supply-chain partners to the Strategic Account.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Leads the development of the account strategy as well as the implementation, guiding an indirect support team consisting of Carlisle IT senior managers, product manager, engineers, inside sales and other colleagues.
Develops new business opportunities to provide a foundation for continuous upward sales trends while meeting all profitability objectives. Maintains and grows an active sales opportunity funnel. Develops and implements strategies and actions to close sales funnel opportunities resulting in new business.
Establishes trust and credibility with the account, builds strong relationships with the account at all levels and locations.
Leads technical efforts and product roadmap development with the account working to match internal product management and engineering resources with corresponding resources at the account.
Leads initiatives to implement creative solutions to solving ease-of-business challenges with the account.
Manages customer revenue forecasts and provides leading indicators for events likely to impact the forecast.
Adds a high level of technical product service and value to meet the goals of the organization.
Maintains up to date knowledge of the industry.
Understands and works within Carlisle IT's policies and procedures.
Other duties as required in support of the company and/or sales division.

The Strategic Account Manager will manage one Quality and Logistics Representative located onsite at a customer location.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of five years' experience in the Aerospace Industry.
Previous key account management preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Employee should have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Employee should have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Employee should also have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Spanish language fluency is highly desirable but not required.

Working knowledge of financial reports and ratios; understand relationships of margins, inventory turns, costs, profit and loss, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Maintains professional appearance and conduct.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office products.

SALARY INFORMATION

In compliance with multiple state's wage transparency laws, the annual salary for this position will be $125,000 - $150,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
